This quarter, we highlight Ms. Shatoya Tyler!
Shatoya came to SONYA’S HOUSE as a Valentine’s Day gift on February 14, 2019. She was referred to us by her Pupil Personnel Worker, while attending Thomas Stone as a senior working to acquire her diploma. After an uneventful senior year, Shatoya graduated with distinction from Great Mills High School In St. Mary’s County, Maryland.
We often described Shatoya as the mother of the house as she would often offer advice to others, and she was a true believer in accountability.
Shatoya is an intelligent, hard-working, determined young lady who possesses a passion for helping others. This passion led her to pursue a career in nursing. She sought out her path to achieve her goal, obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant’s License, and is now rendering quality care for the elderly in Charles County, Maryland.
Oh….did we mention that Toya is independently residing in Charles County? GO TOYA!!!!
